Showing acceptance and understanding

The photographs celebrate our strong progress in developing our knowledge of belonging to a community  .  This is important as it celebrates diversity and develops an understanding and acceptance of differences within our own school community. 

Drama Llama

 In Nursery, the children read the book ‘The Drama Llama’.  They used this to discuss their feelings and to describe their emotions.  They even made their own Llama!

Diversity

Year 1 pupils celebrated the diversity within their classroom and created their own class flag.  This was a collection of their own ideas which came together to create a symbol for the class. 

Class charter

Year 4 pupils created their class charter where they discussed class rules and why these are important.  They also created positive affirmations to support each others learning journey. 

Our PROUD shields

Year 5 pupils created class shields to celebrate the proud values within the school.  They included scenarios where these values might be demonstrated.
