Welcome
Learning together, proud of our successes, inspired for life.
Dear parents,
Welcome to the James Wolfe Primary School website. It is a privilege to lead such a vibrant school community, working alongside our talented pupils, dedicated staff and supportive parents.
At James Wolfe, our goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. I firmly believe that each pupil is unique, and it is our mission to help them grow by recognising and developing their strengths so they can achieve their full potential. By inspiring a love for learning, encouraging curiosity, and providing a well-rounded education, we empower our pupils to become lifelong learners and responsible global citizens.
An important part of our inclusive approach is that every pupil learns British Sign Language (BSL) because fostering effective communication skills is central to our work at James Wolfe.
Our curriculum not only provides a strong foundation in knowledge and skills but also emphasises the development of essential life skills. At the heart of our school are our five core values: showing perseverance in all that we do, demonstrating respect to every member of our community, making the most of every opportunity we are presented with, showing understanding and using our democracy for pupils to ensure they digest information, reflect and have their voices heard. These values guide how our pupils conduct themselves both inside and outside the classroom, helping them to grow not just as learners, but as thoughtful and engaged individuals.
I believe in the power of collaboration and open communication between the school, parents, and the wider community. I invite you to be actively involved in your child’s education by attending parent evenings, volunteering, and engaging in school events. Together, we can create a supportive and enriching learning environment for every pupil.
I look forward to meeting you and working together to ensure that James Wolfe Primary remains a place where learning is celebrated, values are strengthened, and care is at the heart of every decision.
Best wishes,
Cheryl Raithby
